One of the best ways in entertaining
family or friends gathering under the open sky is lighting the fire
pits to start-up the seemingly endless evening party in the cold
weather of Ber-months. Fire pits are the great outdoor embellishment
with a touch of the ancient or tropical ambiance right there in your
beautiful backyard. Get ready to grill some great food and ignite the
fun party!
Because of the real fire, you as the host must aware of some of the safety precautions of fire hazard. You should never take this for granted. Fire can endanger any space or when opportunity comes could burn the entire place.
- Firstly, you must keep children and pets at a secure place. Make sure that there is a fire extinguisher or working water hose available all the time and keep the children or pets out of the close contact with the fire.
- Secondly, make sure you have a good location of the party venue. Fire pits are mainly used for outdoor gathering. Do not light the pits in the enclosed area or inside a tent. The fire can emit dangerous fumes, so good ventilation is important – thus, the open space.
- Lastly, make sure that the ground surface is leveled so the fire pit will not tip over. You must also aware of any wire cables hanging nearby. For better results, get the space cleared for the pit or you may put the fire pit in the midst of the open backyard where you arrange the tables and chairs at the sides circling the pit or may be under the trees.
Before you must make a fire in the pit,
check the fire safety and regulations in your area. Lots of public
places do not allow the pits to be ignited without it being covered
by a smoke screen. Do not throw garbage in the pit or any chemicals
that release dangerous fumes that could harm your health and the
environment. Do not spray chemicals or through kerosene to the pit
especially when you are near. It can cause sparks that could
literally burn you or any flammable objects nearby.
When the party is over. Never leave the
pits unattended. Extinguish the fire properly. Make sure that the
fire has cooled down completely. The ashes can contain fire even if
you think you have already extinguished the fire in the pit. You need
to be so certain in this case. Small fire can grow and would create
bigger flames when unattended. Dispose the ashes properly and clean
the pit. May you will enjoy another series of outdoor party gathering
with family and friends with pits as the center of the party fun.
